Gujarat Technological University (GTU) Ahmedabad was established in the year 2007. The University has two more Campuses in Gandhinagar and Chandkheda as well. It is a public University headed by the State Government and is affiliated to University Grants Commission, New Delhi&sa=Search&ref='>Delhi. The University was formulated with the aim of imparting Systematic and efficient technical Education. It gives affiliation to many esteemed Engineering, pharmacy and management Colleges of the State. It offers various Diploma, post graduate Diploma, bachelors, post graduate and even post doctoral courses in various branches in Engineering, management, computer application and pharmacy. It has 115 co-supervisors appointed from various well-regarded interNational universities across the world for their doctorate Programs. They emphasis on core understanding of the Students rather than rote-learning. True to its name “InterNational Innovative University” it believes in adopting innovative projects and in introducing core Engineering areas early on in the course in order to enhance skills in the young enthusiastic Students. It promotes Research work and facilitates Foreign Study Programs through its Centre for Global Business Studies (CGBS). They also have various Student exchange Programs and summer internship Programs with their tie ups with various reputed Foreign universities and enrols many interNational Students from over 20 countries sponsored by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
