Yana Oleksandrivna Klochkova is a Ukrainian swimmer, who has won five Olympic medals in her career, with four of them being gold. She is Merited Master of Sports, Hero of Ukraine. Klochkova was the most awarded Olympian from Ukraine until in 2024 fencer Olga Kharlan overtook her. She was a popular swimmer who won many awards and was named "Sportsman of the Year" in 2000 and 2003. Klochkova won four Olympic gold medals, six short course world titles, 10 European titles, and nine European short course titles. She was also named Swimmer of the Year in 2004. Klochkova was named an Honorary Citizen of Kharkiv and Donetsk. She was also the flagbearer for the Ukrainian team at the Beijing Olympics. Klochkova was a successful medley swimmer in the early 2000s. She won a silver medal in the 400 m medley at the 1998 World Championships in Perth. She also won both medley events at the Sydney Olympics, and a silver medal in the 800 m freestyle. At the Athens Games, she became the first repeat winner in both medley events. In 2022, Klochkova left Kyiv to live in Crimea. According to the Ukrainian news website Obozrevatel she lives with her son in Gurzuf.
