Nilufer Yumlu commonly known as Nilüfer, is a Turkish pop singer. Together with Grup Nazar, she represented Turkey in the Eurovision Song Contest (1978), where she shared 18th place with Seija Simola from Finland. She rose to fame in 1992, one of her biggest hits, "Show Yapma", was included in the album Yine Yeni Yeniden. Since 1997 she has been Turkey's National Ambassador to UNICEF. In 1998, she was awarded the honorary title of State Artist of Turkey. In addition to her solo work, Nilüfer has also made significant contributions to the music industry through her collaborations. She also re-recorded some of her classic hits for the 1998 album Re-Yemiye. Nilüfer is currently 47 years old and is living in Istanbul, Turkey. She is a single mother of two children.
