I am a small publishing company, A Novel Approach to Publishing, LLC About 60 years ago you (Harcourt, Brace & Co.) published a book long out of print: ANATOMY OF FAITH, by Milton Steinberg. I would like to investigate the possibility of re-publishing and re-marketing this book. I think with a fresh cover and jacket copy, this book could sell well again. The world certainly needs it now more than ever. What kind of deal can we work out to keep this important work alive? Thank You so much for your consideration. The retired physician embarks on a solo wilderness adventure with his two hunting dogs----and the intent of suicide. The prose and characters have an earthy picaresque---- reminiscent of Steinbeck. With Guterson's dynamic descriptions of Washington's countryside, his colorful characters, and the novelist's in-depth treatment of an aging/dying doctor, struggling with mortality--- this novel will make an outstanding screenplay. Based on the phenomenal success of Mr. Guterson's last novel and film, SNOW FALLING ON CEDARS, and the current populari.
