Mr. Frank Leonard MitchellSep 01, 2017
Ebony Magazine was once a world-class publication, fifty years ago. It began its down-hill decent in the early 1970's. There was superfluous high school grade-like writing; no coverage or even commentary on real important events (no mention of the total African victory against Portugal, which agreed to leave its "overseas provinces" of Angola, Mozambique, and Guinea in 1975; Idi Ami's disgusting depraved oppression of Uganda; liberation movements in Rhodesia and Apartheid South Africa). Now, your telephone number (312) 322-9200 is not even in service. Today---and for the last thirty years---the magazine features photo-shopped celebrities, almost always on the cover, a third of the pages liquor advertisements (which is fine, if there's some real substance articles), no research into the quality of black elected officials, no real study in major social issues. And, your mailing address?

Ebony Magazine, 830 S. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois DOESN'T HAVE A ZIP CODE.
