We are in the Small scale sector since 1987. We are unable to succeed in any tender, because the VAT component for Karnataka State industries is 14. 5% while out of state industries compete with 2% CST. We are higher by 12. 5% in any tender applied. We are defeated and driven out of business. Some Industries are getting closed and some have already closed. I am one among who has to close the Industry on account of this aspect. This implies that the State does not want Karnataka Industries to do business in the state, and they should do only in the other States. Is The State not losing revenue in this regard?Kindly review the Problem and we expect some solution from the next financial year at least, so that we remain in the business and serve the State. I take this opportunity to wish you a very Happy Sankranthi and a Very Happy New Year 2015. With best regards, Yours faithfully, M. Ramesh Babu M. E. To the commissioner of sales taxes of Karnataka government, Banguluru. Date 1-3-12.
Sir or madam, We are the region social welfare society have surveyed some border districts of Karnataka linking to A.P. namely as Raichur, Gulbarga,Ballary and found some wondering facts relating to inter- state tradings followed by the dealers and manufacturers of this districts. They are misusing the sales tax circular issued by sales tax department in year 2005. For all inter- state trade instead of using eāsugam they are attaching Xerox copy of circular and easily passing the trucks and vehicles into A.P.
