Colin James Hay is a Scottish-Australian musician, singer, songwriter, and actor. He came to prominence as the lead vocalist and the sole continuous member of the band Men at Work, one of the most successful Australian rock bands at the forefront of the New Wave era in the early 1980s and later as a solo artist.Hay's music has been used frequently by actor and director Zach Braff in his work, which helped a career rebirth in the mid-2000s. Hay elected to work as a solo artist shortly thereafter in early 1986, and the Men at Work name was retired. From 1996 until 2002, Hay and Ham revived the name and toured the world as Men at Work (accompanied by new group members). On 19 April 2012, Ham was found dead at his home from an apparent heart attack. His music also appeared in the television series What About Brian, The Black Donnellys, Cane, and the BBC medical drama Casualty.
