It's really funny, the 'story' written by alleged columnist Neil Steinberg, he seems to completely miss the fact that his story actually disproves his premise. The background check actually did work Neil then goes on to prove that he, like most liberal's, is too stupid to admit he was wrong. Instead he blames the gun store for not wanting to sell a reporter a gun. How typical. If your paper had even the smallest amount of credibility it's put Neil out in the street for NOT being a reporter, but in fact being an editorializer, and not a very good one. And then there's the spousal abuse and alcohol abuse. But I doubt you care about that. Papers like the CST are the very reason most folks no longer read the newspaper; it's no longer news, it's a thin tissue of lies.
