Azhar Mahmood is a Pakistani cricket coach and former cricketer. He was the bowling coach of the Pakistani national cricket team from 2016 to 2019. He was a part of the Pakistan squad which finished as runners-up at the 1999 Cricket World Cup. Azhar Mahmood is a mentally tough allrounder and belligerent batsman, who began his career with three Test centuries against South Africa. In one-day cricket he invariably raises the tempo in the lower middle-order. He is strong off his legs and relishes short bowling.
